Standards That Influence Procurement

It is important for procurement personnel to have knowledge of globally recognized guidelines and certifications. This applies not only to their own organization but also to the selection and evaluation of their supply base.

United Nations Global Impact

The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary initiative that encourages companies to adopt a set of core values related to human rights, labor standards, the environment, and anti-corruption within their sphere of influence. This initiative was launched in 2000 to help organizations align their strategies and operations with sustainability standards. The United Nations Global Compact promotes the practice of appropriate human rights and labor standards, responsiveness to environmental issues, and the implementation of anti-corruption policies.
